Scottish Tablet

Scottish Tablet is a traditional Scottish fudge-like sweet made from sugar, condensed milk and butter. Simple and delightful.

You Will Need:

250g Butter

500g Sweetened condensed milk

2kg Castor sugar

500ml Milk

Method:

Put the milk on a low heat and melt in the butter.

Add the sugar and bring to the boil.

Keep stirring all the time.

Once boiling stir in the condensed milk and simmer for 20 minutes.

Again keep stirring to avoid it burning.

Take off the heat and beat vigorously for five minutes.

Pour into a greased tin and once it is partly cooled cut into squares.
