Super Fast Porridge

My favourite breakfast is my own version of instant porridge. I make my own because I can stuff it full of healthy goodies, reduce sugar and it works out cheaper!

Serves 1

For one large serve of warm, delicious, healthy porridge, you need:

½ cup milk oaties (the oats that make a smoother porridge)
2 tsp wheatgerm
1 tsp ground linseed
1 tsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp raisins
1 Tbsp milk powder
1½ cups water

To cook perfect porridge:

In a large bowl, put in all the dry ingredients and add 1½ cups water (or milk if you prefer not to use the milk powder).
Microwave for 90 seconds, stir, and a further 30-60 seconds (depending on microwave wattage).
You can make it different by adding cinnamon or other dried fruits instead of raisins.
Try golden syrup and almonds or yoghurt all over your yummy porridge. Or cream and brown sugar is a traditional porridge treat.
You can also make this up x10 in an icecream container, which is enough for ten hungry breakfast lovers over the week.
