Unilever ads get the big U. Unilever in Australia and New Zealand has begun placing its signature brand on advertising for all its products.

All television, print and outdoor ads will be accompanied by the Unilever group’s distinctive ‘U’ logo. Brands involved include Streets Ice Cream, Dove, Rexona, Continental, Omo and Lipton.

Flora, Omo and Rexona TV commercials have already gone to air with the logo and others will follow during the year.

David McNeil, vice president of marketing for Unilever Australasia, said the move would complement and reinforce the power of the ‘U’ logo that already appears on packaging.

“Making it easier for consumers to identfy Unilever brands is good for our business,” he added.
