MasterChef, the TV show that has NZ foodies all aflutter, is reaching critical stages… Brett and Kelly, the two MasterChef finalists, are featuring in a promotion this weekend at Countdown.
Countdown Manukau is hosting a MasterChef cook-off between the two MasterChef finalists this Saturday 24 April with chef/judge Simon Gault doing the evaluation.
There will be three separate cook-offs throughout the day at 11am, 1pm and 3pm and the public are invited to this live showdown.
The finalists were decided last night in the penultimate television episode of MasterChef. The final two contestants are: Brett McGregor (Christchurch) and Kelly Young (Auckland). The two will be at Countdown Manukau at 652 Great South Road in Auckland this Saturday for a preview of their competitive showdown next week.
To test their mettle the finalists will be cooking three separate dishes, which are yet to be revealed, however the audience will be able to pick up copies of the recipes at the cook-off and cook them at home that night.
Progressive, owners of Countdown, are major sponsors of the MasterChef programme.
