The 2011 New Zealand Gamebird Food Festival is back for its sixth year, and the powers that be say the wild food event is bigger and better than ever.

It’s a great way to celebrate your success. Take your friends and family with you and have a yarn about the hunt whilst dining in style!

So how does it work?

Just take your birds to a participating restaurant and have one of New Zealand’s top chefs cook them for you and your friends. How easy is that?

Make sure you give them a call a couple of days in advance to discuss the menu, and then sit back and let the best in the business make you a meal to remember.

The festival has 26 fantastic restaurants from Whangarei to Invercargill already signed up for 2011, with more joining all the time. It’s going to be an event to remember this year so get in early and let the real master chefs take you on a journey from field to feast.

If you are worried about ruining your birds? Don’t! Cafe Nero in Palmerston North is hosting a Game Dinner Cooking Demonstration on June 9, $75 per head, includes complimentary drinks and a three-course cooking demonstration.
