When it comes to diets, we’ve heard them all. There’s the Zone diet, the Atkins diet, the Zen Macrobiotic diet, the Cabbage Diet. I however like the idea of the Wine Diet and the Hibernation Diet! Now Kiwi scientists are fighting the fad diet industry with a diet all their own. NZ Plant and Food Research has gone into the diet business and they want to share their diet tips with you.
The Aspire for Life programme has been developed by Crop & Food Research (now Plant & Food Research), a New Zealand government owned research institute (www.plantandfood.com).
We developed this programme so that results of research into healthier foods and healthier lifestyles could be made readily available to anyone with a computer and bring the benefits of these findings to a wider audience.
We have translated science findings into practical advice. We don’t ask you to understand the science, just enjoy the results. We use validated and credible science in the Aspire for Life programme.
NZ Crop and Food Research has major food health research programmes in:
- Carbohydrates and their digestion
- Gut health and food fibre
- Managing food energy
- Sustainable food production
