Boutique NZ bakery The Cake Stall is thriving on a product range of retro cakes, reinventing treats from New Zealanders’ childhoods.

The Cake Stall has cultivated a steady following since opening almost five years ago, and Christmas always offers an added incentive to visit its Royal Oak, Auckland, store.

“The cosy, retro, style of our new look store epitomises the qualities The Cake Stall has become known for. Customers are now able to sit in comfortable surrounds while the scents of freshly baked Christmas mince tarts and gingerbread biscuits waft from the stores adjacent kitchen,” said the company in a media release.

Customers can browse the retail section of the store and will likely be tempted by the old fashioned tins, biscuits, and traditional Christmas cakes. A select range of Christmas baking accessories have been sourced to represent the unique nature of a New Zealand Christmas, including pohutukawa napkins and buzzy bee cake tins.

The Cake Stall offers a range of gift options and can assemble hampers filled with a selection of baked goods, preserves and other treats. There is a wide variety of fillings: like reindeer gingerbread biscuits, meringues, Christmas fruit mince tarts, old fashioned sweets, brandy sauce and merry berry preserve.
