It can also be heated to create an even thicker version, and for die-hard custard lovers, it can be enjoyed straight from the bottle.

“With Christmas coming we were inspired to make a real, old-fashioned custard to pair with festive desserts. Ours is made from just a few simple ingredients, with no artificial flavours or colourings – it’s as traditional as it gets,” says Lewis Road founder Peter Cullinane.
