Celebrate St Patrick’s Day with everything Irish style! This is an easy and quick bread recipe using Guinness and plain yoghurt. The gorgeous aroma from the oven makes you feel hungry. This bread is perfect simply sliced and served with cheeses and dips.
Ingredients to make Irish Bread:
Strong flour (white or whole meal) 200g
Rolled Oats 70g plus some extra for topping
1 teaspoon salt
100 ml Guinness
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons plain yoghurt
2 tablespoons oil (I used Olive oil)
How to make Irish Bread:
- Heat Oven to 210C.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, oats, sugar and salt. In a separate bowl, mix yoghurt, oil and Guinness.
- Pour Guinness mixture in flour mixture and mix well. The dough is fairly sticky.
- Line a baking tin with baking sheet.
- Place bread dough in oblong shapes. Sprinkle some extra oats on top.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
