Is it ironic that the Easter bunny would be more likely to be found eating a tomato than a chocolate Easter egg? We don’t think so!
Will you be able to convince all children that an egg shaped, chocolate coloured tomato is the ideal replacement for the chocolate Easter egg? We don’t think so!
However, when it comes to snacking over the Easter and school holidays, we think our new punnets of Sweets tomatoes will be an ideal go to for all the hands in the house looking for a burst of sweetness that won’t rot your teeth.
Whether you refer to a tomato as a fruit or a vegetable, there is no doubting it’s a nutrient-dense, super-food that most people should be eating more of. Sweet snacking tomatoes help to achieve this goal and will be available throughout New World stores nationwide from 10 to 21 April.
Sweets tomatoes are grown locally by T&G Global (formerly Turners and Growers) – the largest grower of these little red treats in New Zealand keeping not only rabbits and pollinating bumble bees happy, but kiwis of all ages.
Sweets snacking tomatoes will be hopping into New World stores nationwide from 10 to 21 April. And priced at $1.99 per punnet, it’s safe to say they are cheaper than chocolate!
