Thomas Wong, a chef from Wellington has won $10,000 for simply ordering a coffee. It was at Muffin Break Porirua that he received his golden ticket.

Since 17 April Muffin Break customers received a scratch card with every coffee (two scratch cards if they went big and got a muffin too!) offering them a chance to win $10,000 or one of 1000’s of free coffees and muffins*.

Thomas is a regular at Muffin Break and said of his win, ‘I was very surprised and couldn’t believe I was the winner!’

Visiting four or five times each week to have a barista made coffee and happily tuck into a selection of their freshly baked muffins – he loves their date scones, and is partial to a toastie, muffin and small coffee combo too.

He is a very dedicated Muffin Break-er, and deserving winner in our eyes!
