Tauranga CBD has welcomed a new café on Elizabeth Street. On Friday 21 July, The Coffee Club opened its latest location in the heart of the city, where it wants to help local businesses by offering a dedicated meeting room to those who want some fresh thinking away from the office.
The location is The Coffee Club’s 63rd site in New Zealand, it is owned and operated by Kalena-Lee Hovelle.
“Lots of Kiwis do business over a coffee, so we wanted to make a space where people can get out of the office and enjoy a fresh environment,” says Kalena. “We have a dedicated meeting room, with a screen for any presentations. Of course, there is the added benefit of having easy access to quality food and coffee. Any businesses wanting to use the space just need to contact me to book it.”
As well as offering a space for professionals to get together, Kalena says her team will bring top-quality hospitality to the area. “I have over a decade of hospitality experience, and I’m a real people person. I am very passionate about it and we’re taking a lot of care to get the right staff who feel the same way, I’m really excited to see this place open.”
According to Brad Jacobs, Director of The Coffee Club, Tauranga continues to be a place on the up. “We’ve had a lot of success here. We already have a couple of other spots in the city, which are really popular, and some of the best performing cafes out of all our locations. For us, being in the centre of Tauranga is a nice step forward. It’s already a location with a good vibe, and I think we’ll add to that.”
“I’m excited to see how businesses respond to having the meeting space, hopefully a lot of them use it and it’s a success for everybody,” adds Brad. “I know Kalena and the team are looking forward to meeting everyone in the area and making it a real go-to place.”
