Anzacs for RSA are a range of exquisite Anzac biscuits that cherishes the memory of our fallen soldiers, celebrates our national identity and fundraises for the extensive work the RSA – Returned and Services Association – performs in New Zealand.
Produced by AFM Group, the biscuits come in beautiful giftable commemorative tins and are also available in smaller packets in three flavours: Anzac, Cranzac (Anzac/Cranberry mix) and Chocolate Squiggle Anzac.
The collaboration between AFM Group and RSA started in 2015.
“The RSA approached us to ask if we could produce Anzac biscuits for them to help raise much needed funds”, says AFM Group director, Mike Fisher.
“We thought it was a great initiative to back, with wide community reach providing support to a huge amount of people”.
The RSA assists Kiwis impacted by military service, from caring for the wounded to assisting military personnel leaving the forces to build new lives.
One dollar from each tin and 30c from each packet goes towards the RSA activities, and since 2015 Anzacs for RSA sales have raised $315,000 for the association.
“Money from the sales of these biscuits provides essential support for New Zealand’s current and former servicemen and women, and their families”,
says BJ Clark, RSA National President.
”In the last four years, it has been a real pleasure to work with AFM Group to bring the taste of traditional Anzac biscuits to Kiwis all year round”, adds Mr. Clark.
Made in New Zealand with mostly local ingredients using a traditional recipe, the biscuits are real crowd pleasers. The tins design changes each year, and the 2018 collection brings a series of World War II posters by Kiwi artists from the National Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa collection.
“The design on the tins makes them especially collectible, and we frequently get requests to send them overseas”, says Mr. Clark.
Anzacs for RSA biscuits come in 4 large commemorative tins packed with 360g of Anzac biscuits (RRP $11.99) and in 180g packets in all three flavours (RRP $2.99). They are perfect to serve with a nice cuppa, and with Anzac Day (25 April) just around the corner, tins make great gifts when visiting friends.
Products are available at all Countdown and The Warehouse stores, and at most New World, Pak’N Save and Four Square stores. Moore Wilson’s stores in the Wellington region also stock them.
