This week sees the launch of a stunning book that brings together more than 100 recipes from many of New Zealand’s top restaurants, in a collection of cuisine for a cause, supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) New Zealand. The Supper Club Recipe Book is a unique combination of delicious dishes, all thoughtfully donated by restaurants, families who have stayed at a Ronald McDonald House®, as well as food writers and sponsors.

A perfect gift for home cooks, food lovers or book lovers, the new book has just gone on sale in time for Christmas. All funds raised from sales of the book help RMHC New Zealand provide accommodation for families when their child is in a hospital away from home. Over 3,700 families from across the country stay at a Ronald McDonald House each year.

The new book features stunning recipes donated by more than 50 New Zealand leading
restaurants including the likes of Auckland’s Culprit, Sails Restaurant, and Non Solo Pizza,
Wellington’s Capitol, and Queenstown’s Fishbone Restaurant. All of the dishes selected by
the restaurant chefs are for the ‘everyday cook’, so it makes a brilliant addition to every kitchen.

“We are humbled to have the support of so many amazing restaurants, sponsors and
supporters who have all come together for our cause. Proceeds from this book will go a long way to providing a ‘home-away-from-home’ for all families who need to stay at a Ronald McDonald House,” says RMHC New Zealand Chief Executive, Wayne Howett.

The title of The Supper Club Recipe Book is a nod to RMHC New Zealand’s Supper Club
fundraising events, where guests do not know which restaurant they will be dining at until it is drawn out of a hat on the night. These extremely popular events have run for many years, from Auckland to Invercargill. Now, everyone who has enjoyed these events as well as the wider New Zealand public has the chance to recreate the experience at home.

The book was the brain child of three passionate McDonald’s franchisees, who have
contributed to their local Supper Club events for years. Debi Rush, Angela Rowland and Sonia Sund are not only proud to have produced such a beautiful recipe book, but to also have another way to help RMHC New Zealand and all of the families supported by the organisation.

“We’re so impressed with the outstanding contributions we received and the gorgeous book
that resulted,” Debi says.

The 256-page, 225x270mm book was edited by Renee Lang of Renaissance Publishing and
