The Kiwi summer has a bit more bite thanks to two new delicious flavours from Maison Therese. The Hawke’s Bay family food brand has unveiled their newest creations, Sweet Chilli Relish and Summer Fruit Chutney with Chia straight from their kitchen, ready to be served in yours.

A blend of summer fruits with the added health benefits of chia seeds, the new Summer Fruit Chutney with Chia is ideal for your cheese board, an exquisite accompaniment to cheese and cold meats.

Sweet Chilli Relish is thick and chunky, a perfectly balanced mix of sweet tomato with a hint of fresh chilli. The new relish is the ideal counterpoint to set off the delicate flavours of pan-fried fish, or even as a substitute for tomato sauce. From upgrading your burger, to adding to your homemade pizza, or adding flavour as an addition to your BBQ, the new flavours are versatile and essential for the pantry.

“This is Summer in a jar! We grew up eating beautiful relishes and preserves, we now have the pleasure of adding our touch to our new products. These are the flavours that we constantly have out for our meals, and we know they will fit as seamlessly into other Kiwi households as they have into ours”, says Emma Bradshaw, Maison Therese Marketing Manager.

Handmade by three generations of women from a Hawke’s Bay family, all Maison Therese products use only the best New Zealand and imported ingredients, without any artificial preservatives, colours or flavours.

First made in her Hawke’s Bay home by Dutch immigrant Therese Mooren in 1965, Maison Therese has expanded their product range over the years, earning the reputation as being the home to the finest artistic preserves. Therese’s reputation of great quality is continued by her daughter and two granddaughters who have stepped up to continue the family tradition.

The new generations have taken age old recipes and added new fresh twists. Under the Maison Therese label, they produce a mix of modern and traditional pickles, relishes and chutneys that add real flavour to everyday meals and snacks.

Maison Therese continues to introduce new products to the range, balancing time-honoured tradition with more modern cuisine ideas.

“Oma’s recipes still provide the inspiration we measure ourselves against,” says Emma. “Our two latest products have all the hallmarks of Maison Therese – the generosity of flavour that capture the natural goodness of the produce in each and every jar.”

Maison Therese Sweet Chilli Relish and Maison Therese Summer Fruit Chutney with Chia are available in supermarkets and specialty food stores around the country, including Countdown, New World and selected Pak n Save stores, Moore Wilson, Farro Fresh and Farmland rural trading stores at an RRP of $4.99 – $5.99
