Award-winning Filipino Chef William Mordido and his Buko pop-up restaurant, have designed an exquisite high tea menu exclusively tailored to spoil a special foodie mum this Mother’s Day. The Buko Mother’s Day High Tea hosted at Alberton House, Mt Albert will offer unique high tea delectables with a modern take on the traditional selection of English sweet and savoury options. Buko’s ingenuity to create a lavish array of whimsical delicacies is second to none with this fantastic menu and dining experience to be revealed on the day.

The special high tea event is scheduled for Sunday 12, May, at Auckland’s history-rich Alberton House and all set in a beautiful garden setting. Choose from two sittings complete with sparkling rosé on arrival—either brunch at 11:00am or an afternoon tea session at 2:30pm, both are 2-hour sittings and are finished off with a guided tour of Alberton House and take home gift. Tickets are priced at $70 per person. Interested guests can book preferred sittings through the Buko website.

Designed by William Mordido, this indulgent high tea is absolutely ideal for a special mum, and this year’s Mother’s Day event will enable guests to experience grandeur right in the party house—the historic Alberton Mansion, a colonial heritage of ingenious architecture built in 1863.

Creating a blend of Filipino flavours and combining this with an influence of classic New Zealand cuisine and the best British high tea tradition is a dream way to celebrate Mother’s Day.

Guests will also be welcomed and thrilled by the finest sparkling rosé, with the lush three-tiered high tea coming next. The delicious menu will feature Meadow Fresh, Chelsea Sugar, Ora King Salmon, Nature’s Fresh, fresh quality Chevalier produce, Edmonds, innovative Fresh As products and more. Staying true to the tradition of high tea, this menu is matched with loose-leaf tea by Noble & Savage Tea Merchants whilst Antipodes, premium artesian water from New Zealand, cleanses the palate.

In addition, ten percent of the profits generated through the event will be donated to the Women’s Refuge, in an effort to give back to the community and raise awareness on important issues.
