Set to disrupt the Auckland dining scene, Chef Yukio Ozeki from Azabu is collaborating with one of Auckland’s most innovative eateries, Culprit at Asahi’s pop-up restaurant AKAI DOA.

Taking place for a limited time only, diners can experience a unique menu where Culprit’s off-the beaten track, culinary experimentation will collide with Yukio Ozeki’s Tokyo-style dishes in the lively atmosphere of Las Vegas Club on K-Road.

Diners can watch in awe as Ozeki from Azabu and Culprit battle it out head-to-head, serving four mouth-watering courses each as part of a one-off AKAI DOA tasting menu, taking inspiration from Kiwi ingredients and Japan’s most popular beer, Asahi Super Dry.

Asahi Super Dry Marketing Manager Stephanie Scard says, “Asahi AKAI DOA has been open since April is proving to be hugely popular. While the AKAI DOA X Culprit menu remains tightly under wraps, what we can say is those lucky enough to experience the collaboration can expect a Kiwi, Asian fusion explosion that will leave them wanting more. It will be both interactive and immersive, featuring progressive flavours and bold plating.”

Asahi’s AKAI DOA takes the dining experience to a whole new level this year, with immersive lighting installations by award-winning artist, Angus Muir, live fashion shows by the team at Stolen Girlfriends Club and the AKAI DOA X Culprit dining collaboration.
