Who says ice cream is just for summer? Halo Top Creamery is sweetening up New Zealand’s most popular winter destination with the first ever ice cream-themed hotel room in the heart of Queenstown. Available for bookings from 22 July for a limited time, the ‘Halo Top Ski Lodge’ will treat guests to a one-of-a-kind getaway with unlimited Halo Top, which, at 280-360 calories per tub, makes the perfect après-ski snack.
In partnership with luxury boutique hotel QT Queenstown, the ‘Halo Top Ski Lodge’ will be an unforgettable experience for any ice cream lover, complete with Instagrammable Halo Top-inspired interiors, stylish branded ski apparel and amenities, and a Halo Top freezer filled to the brim with delicious tubs. Guests can indulge in an exclusive Halo Top cocktail kit and room service menu, featuring items such as Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dessert Nachos or a Dairy-Free Caramel Macchiato Dessert Shake, all on demand from the comfort of one of the hotel’s premier rooms.
“Our Kiwi fans welcomed Halo Top to New Zealand with open arms so we wanted to do something special for them,” said Doug Bouton, Halo Top Creamery President and COO. “To make it easy on our fans, we’re bringing Halo Top straight from the freezer to where we know they’ll be this winter – the ski lodge. QT is the perfect partner to bring the Halo Top Ski Lodge to life, and we can’t wait to hear what our Kiwi fans think!”
For those who want to embrace the chilly temperatures with Halo Top, the brand’s special-edition room is available to the public for booking from 22 July to 4 August. While lucky guests are entitled to all the Halo Top dairy and dairy-free flavours they can eat, reservations are first in, first served on the QT Queenstown website.
Sitting pretty in nature’s playground, QT Queenstown is a lush lakeside resort that emulates nostalgic alpine and après-ski ambience, with all creature comforts considered. Luxury design meets contemporary décor across QT Queenstown’s stunning guest rooms where all 69 rooms are the ultimate oasis in design-driven luxe, featuring all the mod cons you need to relax and recharge.
“We like to do things a little different at QT, so we were excited to work with Halo Top Creamery to create this unique room takeover at the hotel,” says Jeremy Black, General Manager of QT Queenstown.
“The reinvigoration of one of our Remarkable King Rooms, which offer unparalleled views of Lake Wakatipu and the snow-capped Remarkables mountain range, maintains QT’s quirky design and creative flair while embracing Halo Top’s iconic and fun style.”
