The well known food truck fixtures Double Dutch Fries and Wise Boys Burgers have teamed up at the Double Dutch Fries Store in Takapuna for the summer months.
With Wise Boys’ famous plant-based burger goodness and Double Dutch’s authentic hand cut fries, the combination has never been more acceptable for the summer bod.
The store will also be dishing up a selection of the Wise Boys menu favourites, including their headline grabbing vegan fish and chips for you to enjoy in store or on the beach.
Exclusive to the pop-up, the two eateries have created a dish that fuses their specialties: BBQ jackfruit loaded fries ( BBQ Jackfruit loaded fries with mozzarella, tomato salsa and guacamole topped off with Wise Boys signature aioli )
The collab pop-up will boast a brand new, original recipe vegan Dutch mayo that rivals Wise Boys award-winning garlic aioli.
Owner of Double Dutch Fries Timothy Van Der Werff is looking forward to launching this new summer menu.
“I personally love working alongside our fellow food truck entrepreneurs to see what we can accomplish collabortively. It’s amazing how Wise Boys have helped pioneer the current craze of reducing meat consumption and we can’t wait to bring this into our store. Our Takapuna offering is a great option to eat your favourite burgers and fries in a fresh, new way.”
This is a summer one-stop shop, with a top quality craft beer and wine menu keeping the summer vibes flowing into the evening. Brewing masters Garage Project will be stocking the fridge with ice-cold beer for those warmer beach days.
Only a two minute walk to the beach, this is an ideal location for those wanting to make the most of Auckland over the summer break. With a completely plant-based menu and compostable packaging, the North Shore can now take care of the planet while taking care of their taste buds.
