Begin with the bruschetta or try the lentil and smoke ham hock zuppa followed by the oh so deliziosi prawn and crayfish spaghetti or triangoli with gorgonzola, ricotta and beetroot. Magnifica!
After lunch relax into the afternoon and enjoy Andiamo’s Aperitivo Hour until 6pm, with scrumptious snacking plates of Italian meats, olives and cheeses partnered perfectly with $15 cocktails. Curated specially for the season there’s one to suit every style – let the festivities be-gin!
Ease into the workweek at Jervois Steak House with the return of the Sunday roast. Settle in with friends and family as you feast on Wakanui beef rump, Yorkshire puddings, duck fat roast potatoes and seasonal greens for just $40, then leave the clean up to the professionals.
A scenic springtime afternoon by the water is no tall order at Coley & Punch. With a new early evening menu debuting each week, unwind and relish in refreshing G&Ts for $7, carefully crafted cocktails for $10 and Champagne specials such as Mumm Grand Cordon for $59.95 a bottle. Available 5 – 7pm, Wednesday to Saturday.
Or take to Britomart for hearty comforts and entertainment on tap. The Brit‘s beloved homemade pies are here to stay (until the end of September that is). With four tried and true flavours including curried potato and spinach, mine and cheese, peppered steak and cottage – each just $15 with mash – there’s no excuse not to try them all.
On Tuesdays take the crew next door for The Chamberlain’s Quiz Night. Kicking off at 7pm expect good times only, yummy nibbles and an immaculate list of 15 craft beers that changes on the regular. Whether it’s a win being celebrated or a loss commiserated, nothing beats a bite to eat and getting the gang together.
