Claire Turnbull’s Dry July Mocktails
BLOODY MARY MOCKTAIL
½ cup tomato juice or a small tomato
Tobasco Sauce
SodaStream sparkling water
Cucumber to garnish
Ice (optional)
If using a whole tomato, blitz it into juice. Pour into a glass with sparkling water and add a few drops of Tobasco sauce. Garnish with a cucumber or celery stick for effect!
VIRGIN MARGARITA
¼ lime, juiced
¼ lemon, juiced
¼ orange, juiced
SodaStream sparkling water
Ice (optional)
Simply combine your sparkling water with your squeezed lime, lemon and orange juice. Add ice and garnish with a citrus slice and mint leaf, if desired.
APPLE CRUMBLE SPARKLING WATER
Sliced apple
Sliced ginger
A dash of vanilla essence
SodaStream sparkling water
Cinnamon
Ice (optional)
Add ice, sliced apple, a slice of ginger, a dash of vanilla essence, and a sprinkle of cinnamon to a glass, then top with SodaStream sparkling water. Add more cinnamon to taste.
KIWIFRUIT AND MINT SPARKLE
This is by far the yummiest drink I’ve made so far! It’s so easy to make as well. This drink is perfect for those of you who have bowel issues, kiwifruit and sparkling water are great for relieving symptoms of constipation.
Kiwifruit
Mint
SodaStream sparkling water
Ice (optional)
Blitz your kiwifruit in a blender, combine with SodaSream sparkling water and ice, then garnish with mint leaves.
LIME, CHILLI & MINT SPARKLES
This is like a spicy virgin mojito! Great drink that feels like a cocktail for Dry July.
½ lime, juiced
3 – 4 sprigs mint
Slice of chilli or fresh jalapenos (to taste)
SodaStream sparkling water
Ice (optional)
Combine all ingredients over ice, and enjoy!
