Kimchi Udon Bowl
Some days, all you need is a bowl of delicious spicy noodles.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 4 rashers Farmland Streaky Bacon
- 1 cup kimchi roughly chopped
- ½ onion sliced lengthwise
- 400 g Trident Udon Noodles
- 4 stalks Spring onions thinly sliced
- For the sauce
- 1 tbsp gochugaru Korean chilli flakes
- ½ tbsp gochujang Korean chilli paste
- 1 tbsp premium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
Garnish
- 2 eggs fried
- Spring onions sliced
- A pinch of gachugaru
Instructions
- Mix sauce ingredients and set aside.
- Cut bacon in 1cm thick slices.
- Heat oil in a large frying pan on medium-high heat and fry the bacon for 2-3 minutes. Add the kimchi and onion and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add noodles, Spring onions and sauce. Fry for 2 minutes.
- Split the noodles in 2 bowls, top with a fried egg sprinkle with chilli flakes and garnish with extra Spring onions. Enjoy!
