Preheat oven to 200 °C.
Grease 12 deep muffin tins.
In a small pot, heat the butter, milk and sultanas, stirring until the butter is melted. Set aside too cool.
In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients except baking soda.
Stir the baking soda into the cooled milk/butter mixture.
Add the milk mixture and egg to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Spoon into the muffin tins.
Bake for about 20 –25 min until golden brown.
Leave in the tins for 5 min before cooling on a rack.
When cool, don't be afraid to go overboard with themed icing and decorations. Think - crosses, little lolly eggs, baby bunnies and anything cute-as-pie.
