Delicious Curry Mince Recipe

- 500 g lean beef mince
- 2 onions
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- 1 tsp crushed ginger
- ½ tin canned tomatoes
- 1 tbsp mild curry powder
- ¼ cup tomato relish/chutney/paste
- 1 tsp fresh ground chili or powder
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 cups water
- salt
Place mince in a large saucepan. Cook over a medium heat, breaking it up with your spatula until browned.
Peel onions and chop finely. Add to meat along with tomatoes, garlic and ginger and cook for 5 minutes.
Mix in curry powder, relish, chili, 1 cup water and salt to taste.
Cook for 20 minutes.
Stir rest of water into mince mixture with peas.
Cook, stirring, until mixture boils and thickens a little
Serve over steamed rice or wrapped in flat bread and garnish with finely chopped coriander or mint.
