Fresh Tomato Salsa

Tomato salsa can be expensive so here's a fab make-at-home recipe. This recipe uses heart healthy rice bran oil, chilli and capsicum.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 400 g fresh tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic chopped
  • ½ red or green capsicum
  • ½ tsp fresh chilli chopped
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • ¼ cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1 tbsp rice bran oil
  • 2–3 tbsp fresh herbs, parsley, chives, coriander or basil chopped

Instructions
 

  • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and chill.
  • Serve with your favourite raw vegetable sticks, breads, crackers, bagel crisps or rice chips and enjoy!
