Pigs in a blanket
Pigs in a Blanket are a kids pleaser for sure! They make for a delicious after school snack and are a perfect party food addition that people, young and old, can't get enough of!
Ingredients
- 4 hot dogs
- 4 cheese slices
- 1 sheet of pastry
- Milk
Instructions
- Heat oven to 190°C and lightly coat baking sheet with cooking spray.
- Cut each hot dog crosswise in half and then slit each hot dog lengthwise making sure that you do not cut all the way through.
- Cut each cheese slice in half and place inside the slit of each hot dog half.
- Cut rectangles out of the pastry, long enough to roll the hot dog in.
- Roll the each cheesy hot dog into a piece of pastry.
- Brush the tops with milk.
- Bake for 13 minutes or until golden.
- Serve with tomato sauce.

It depends where you’re from. The British wrap the sausage in bacon, the Americans don’t. Bacon does make everything taste better though!
