Chocolate Whizz Cake
This is a quick, easy and delicious Chocolate whizz cake that is moist and scrumptious. The addition of the Greek yoghurt just makes it all the more silky and special.
Ingredients
- 225 g sugar
- 1 free range egg
- 260 g Greek Honey yoghurt
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 100 g butter melted
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp vanilla essence
- 225 g self raising flour
- 115 ml boiling hot coffee
Instructions
- Pre heat oven to 160°C. Grease or line a 20cm cake tin.
- Place the ingredients in your mixing bowl in the ingredient list order above.
- Whizz (that's why we call it the chocolate whizz Cake) the mixture in your cake mixer, electric mixer or hand mixer for one minute.
- Pour the mix into a the prepared tin and bake for 45 minutes.
- Once baked, turn your cake out onto a rack and let cool before icing and slicing.
Notes
We love a deep, all covering chocolate icing for this cake but a dust of icing sugar is just as delish.
