Homemade Burgers

Whip up these fab, homemade hamburgers. They are healthy, quick, easy, tasty and most importantly filling.

Serves 4

To make Homemade Burgers, you will need:

2 eggs

1/3 cup dry bread crumbs

1 Tbsp horseradish

2 tsp mustard

1/4 tsp pepper

Chopped fresh rosemary

Garlic salt

400g prime mince (or for healthier option, a can of tuna)

2 spring onions, finely chopped

1 celery stalk, finely chopped

1 Tbsp rice bran oil

Crisp lettuce

Tomato slices

Avocado slices

4 hamburger buns

How to make Homemade Burgers:

In a bowl, lightly beat eggs.

Mix in bread crumbs, horseradish, mustard, pepper and salt.

Add mince (or drained tuna) and mix into bowl along with onions and celery. Shape into thick patties.

In a non-stick pan or BBQ, heat oil over medium heat.

Cook patties, turning once, for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove and add to your bun. Add all your fave burger salads – we love avocado, lettuce, tomato, red onion and for a bit of pizazz, add wasabi mayo.
