Pulled beef tacos with hot barbecue sauce

Ingredients
 
 

Slow-cooked Beef Brisket

  • 1 beef brisket 1.8-2kg
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tin tomato
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ bottle Sweet Sting Smoky Joe sauce
  • salt & pepper

  • 8 corn tortillas
  • cabbage shredded
  • grated cheese
  • fresh coriander

Instructions
 

  • Combine the dry herbs in a bowl. Season the beef with seasoning, patting on to all sides. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a large Heavy based pan, brown the brisket on either side till golden brown.
  • Transfer the brisket to the slow cooker, add the onion, tin tomatoes and Worchester sauce.
  • Cook 7-8 hours on low till tender.
  • Remove the Beef from the pot. Using two forks shred the beef. Transfer the beef to a bowl, add Sweet Sting smokey joe sauce and a little cooking liquid. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat the tortillas in a pan or microwave. To assemble place the chopped cabbage, Smokey joe pulled beef grated cheese and fresh coriander on to the warmed tacos.
