BBQ lamb perfect patties

No matter the weather, you can always throw something on the BBQ and when it comes to cooking outside, we want yummy/easy/fun food without any fiddly stuff. This delicious throw-it-all-in-the-food-processor NZ lamb patties burger recipe rocks.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 400 g lean lamb mince
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup fresh wholemeal breadcrumbs
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • ¼ cup mint leaves
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 lemon zested
  • 2 cloves garlic roughly chopped
  • ½ red onion

Instructions
 

  • In your food whizzer, process lamb, egg, breadcrumbs, herbs, lemon zest, garlic and red onion until smooth. Using a 1/2 cup measure, shape into patties (the kids will love doing this part!)
  • Cook in a non-stick pan or on the BBQ until browned and just pink inside.
  • Serve in a fresh wholemeal or sesame bun with your favourite mayo (we love Best Foods),  a slice of tasty cheese and then stuff it with rocket or mesculun salad.
  • Easy and delicious and a real family fave. Perfect fare for that impromptu BBQ when you need to feed lots of people!
