Eggless Chocolate Brownie

This is an amazingly chewy crunchy gooey chocolate brownie recipe that does not require any eggs! Try even if you do eat eggs.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 125 g butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 2 tbsp Dutch cocoa
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp mixed spice
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp baking soda dissolved in 1/4 cup of milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 180 °C. Grease or line a slice tin.
  • In a small saucepan, melt butter, sugar, golden syrup and milk.
  • As they melt and combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl: sifted flour, cocoa and spices.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients in the bowl and stir well.
  • Add vanilla, then milk with the baking soda mixed in. Mix well.
  • Pour in the prepared tin. The batter should be about 2.5-3 cm deep.
  • Bake at 180°C for 30-35 minutes.
  • When cool, cut into 12 and dust with icing sugar.

Notes

Chocolate Brownie tips:
Serve warm with fresh cream as a wonderful dessert.
Always choose the edge of the baking pan bit as it's chewy and crispy and just the right amount of gooey!

    Absolutely delicious, even with only putting 1/2c of sugar it was still plenty sweet enough. I’ll definitely be making it again
