Fresh Tomato Salsa
Tomato salsa can be expensive so here's a fab make-at-home recipe. This recipe uses heart healthy rice bran oil, chilli and capsicum.
Ingredients
- 400 g fresh tomatoes
- 1 clove garlic chopped
- ½ red or green capsicum
- ½ tsp fresh chilli chopped
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp wine vinegar
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ¼ cup finely chopped red onion
- 1 tbsp rice bran oil
- 2–3 tbsp fresh herbs, parsley, chives, coriander or basil chopped
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and chill.
- Serve with your favourite raw vegetable sticks, breads, crackers, bagel crisps or rice chips and enjoy!
