Honey and harissa crumpets
Gourmet crumpets for the adults in the house. Rock your taste buds with this sweet and spicy combination.
Ingredients
- 4 Golden Crumpets
- 4 tbsp mascarpone room temperature
- Zest of a lemon
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tsp harissa
- 2 tsp Chantal Organics honey melted for drizzling
Instructions
- Mix the mascarpone, lemon zest and salt together in a bowl, set aside.
- Toast the crumpets to your liking
- Spread the mascarpone mixture evenly over the crumpets, put quarter a tsp of harissa (depending on how spicy you like it) in the middle of each crumpet and use a knife to swirl it through the mascarpone, then drizzle over some honey.
Notes
Fresh note: Quite an unusual flavour mix but trust us, it works!! The whole team was raving about it when we filmed this video 🙂
