Lemon Sauce for chicken, seafood or steak
This luscious lemon sauce is a lovely accompaniment to your favourite fish, green vege or pasta. Perfect for using up lemons - make heaps and freeze.
Ingredients
- 50 g butter
- 1 tsp flour heaped tsp
- 500 ml stock heated
- 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp sour cream
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan, add flour and cook for a few minutes. Add hot stock (use whichever you prefer) and stir until thickened.
- Add the juice and rind of lemon, stir and remove from heat.
- After waiting until the sauce cools slightly add sour cream for an extra creamy sauce.
- Pour over your favourite meat or pasta. Especially tasty with chicken, fish, and kaimoana! Or poured over crisp, steamed green vegetables.
