This luscious lemon sauce is a lovely accompaniment to your favourite fish, green vege or pasta. Perfect for using up lemons - make heaps and freeze.

Ingredients
  

  • 50 g butter
  • 1 tsp flour heaped tsp
  • 500 ml stock heated
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp sour cream

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a saucepan, add flour and cook for a few minutes. Add hot stock (use whichever you prefer) and stir until thickened.
  • Add the juice and rind of lemon, stir and remove from heat.
  • After waiting until the sauce cools slightly add sour cream for an extra creamy sauce.
  • Pour over your favourite meat or pasta. Especially tasty with chicken, fish, and kaimoana! Or poured over crisp, steamed green vegetables.
