Bacon avocado bombs
Stuff an avocado—replacing its stone with cheese, then wrap it with thinly sliced bacon. Bake & grill it to the perfect ‘bomb’ effect. A must try for keto dieters.
Ingredients
- 4 NZ avocados halved and peeled*
- ½ cup cheddar cheese grated or cubed
- 20 slices Farmland thin sliced streaky bacon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 220°C. Line an oven tray with foil.
- Fill 4 avocado halves with grated cheese then close the avocados back.
- Wrap each avocado with 5 slices of bacon. Place on the oven tray and bake for 10 minutes on each side until bacon is cooked.
- Turn the oven to grill. Grill boost on high for 5-8 minutes to crisp up the bacon even more.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Tip: Choose ripe but firm avocados for this dish.
