Pigs in Blankets toad in the hole
Toad in the hole made with Pigs in blankets. Why not?
Ingredients
- 1 pack Farmland Pigs in Blankets
- 2 tbsp vegetable Oil
- 140 g plain flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 175 ml milk
- fresh thyme to garnish
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 220C/200C fan/gas 7. Place the Farmland pigs in blankets in a roasting dish with the oil and bake for 10 minutes until the bacon is golden.
- Meanwhile, make the batter. Tip the flour and salt into a bowl, make a well in the middle and crack the eggs into it. Whisk together, then slowly add the milk, whisking all the time. Leave to stand.
- Remove the sausages from the oven – be careful because the fat will be sizzling hot.
- Pour in the batter mix, transfer to the top shelf of the oven, then cook for 20-25 minutes, until risen and golden. Do not open the oven during cooking. Serve with gravy and broccolini.
