Plant-based Izakaya combo with nutty slaw
An Izakaya is a place to have a casual drink and unwind while you enjoy delicious bites of food. We feature two scrumptious plant based items, vegetable gyoza and plant-based tenders, with a fresh homemade slaw to create the same feel at home.
Ingredients
For the nutty Japanese slaw
- ¼ green cabbage shredded
- ½ carrots julienned
- 1 spring onion sliced
- ½ cup bean sprouts
- ¼ cup fresh coriander leaves
- ¼ cup Kewpie goma dressing
- A handful FreshLife natural cashews lightly toasted
To serve
- lemon wedges
- fresh chillies sliced
- dipping sauces such as soy sauce, chilli oil, sweet chilli sauce, mayonnaise
Instructions
- Cook plant based tenders according to the box instructions.
- Cook Japanese plant based gyoza following the packet instructions.
- Nutty Japanese slaw: Mix all vegetables in a large bowl. Pour over the goma dressing and toss well. Scatter cashews on top.
- Serve with lemon wedges, a few varieties of condiments and dipping sauces accompanied with your favourite drinks. Kanpai!
