Bacon wrapped venison bites
These bacon wrapped venison bites will become the star of your party. The sweetly grazed thick bacon outer elevates the already tasty balsamic soy marinated, tender venison chunks. Enjoy them with your favourite drinks with friends.
- 500 g New Zealand farm raised venison (cut in 3cm chunks)
- 2 tbsp Olivado Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic (finely minced)
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 300 g Farmland Streaky BBQ Bacon with BBQ glaze (cut in half)
- In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and balsamic vinegar. Add the crushed garlic, mustard, and black pepper.
- Add the venison in the marinade and toss until well coated. Cover and refrigerate for 1 - 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 230°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Drain venison bites and pat dry. Wrap each piece of venison with half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place the venison bites seam side down on the prepared tray.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and turn on the grill function. Brush the Farmland BBQ graze liberally over the bacon-wrapped venison. Grill for 2 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
